The first broad-based chemical protection suit with secondary FR protection.

Rear Entry Zytron 300 NFPA 1990 (1992) splash protective total encapsulating suit

Increased OSHA scrutiny is highlighting the need for FR chemical apparel. From acetone to toluene, chemical manufacturing and petrochemical workers encounter dozens of hazards where chemical and FR protection are both critical. Kappler’s Zytron® 300 FR is the first and only protective suit to combine extensive chemical protection with secondary FR protection (when worn over NFPA 2112 workwear). With 200-plus chemicals tested, Zytron 300 FR offers four times the testing of similar suits. Learn how Kappler innovation is reducing risk exposure with a multi-purpose garment providing primary chemical protection with secondary FR.

Pyroman Proven.

Kappler is committed to user survivability, and Zytron® 300 FR garments are subjected to intense testing to simulate real-world exposure in a chemical flash-fire, which can generate heat up to 1900º F. The Pyroman Thermal Manikin test for Zytron® 300 FR was conducted at North Carolina State University, with a 3-second test to predict a percentage of body burn a wearer might experience.

Zytron® 300 FR was tested in accordance with ASTM F1930, Zytron® 300 FR performed well in the full-body Pyroman manikin test chamber when tested over NFPA 2112 workwear.
